AMF to have free ads in college newspapers nationwide!

October 08, 2009

National Students of AMF recently won the 2009-2010 Campus Media Group PSA placement contest! As a result, we’ll receive advertising – valued between $50K and $100K – in college newspapers throughout the country. Every year Campus Media selects one organization that has an important cause or message to share with students. That organization’s ad will then be placed in some of the nation’s top college newspapers free of charge. This year Campus Media joined forces with TheCampusBuzz.com, a national college newsfeed service, to stream the winner’s message to its 3,000 subscribers. We have been working with Crate, a creative agency specializing in the college demographic, and they are in the final stages of delivering some great ads (which they conceived and produced pro bono). Our goal is to start these ads this month so we have them in college newspapers before the holidays.

“The college newspaper PSA program is growing every year and our strategic partners feel compelled to share their services,” said Jason Bakker, Director of Marketing at Campus Media Group. “These guys at AMF are great people and are providing a service to college students that is really remarkable.”

“We’re excited to create an engaging PSA advertising campaign for this great organization” said Jeff Roach, Partner at Crate. “Our hope is that this campaign gets students talking about the effects of grief in the student lifestyle and builds awareness in the issue and how starting a National Students of AMF chapter in their school can make a huge difference.”
