Students of AMF's Fajgenbaum awarded prestigous BRICK AWARD!

David Fajgenbaum was announced today as a winner of a 2007 Brick Award! Fajgenbaum joined 23 other young adults on January 19 in New York City to interview for the 12 awards. Visit www.dosomething.org/brick_2007_finalists to read about the 12 winners!

The BRICK Awards honor and fund change-makers age 25 and under who identify problems in their communities, and then get up off the sofa and do something to change their world.  Each of the 12 BRICK Award winners receives $10,000. Winners age 18 and under receive their award as a $5,000 higher ed scholarship and a $5,000 grant, whereas winners age 19-25 receive a $10,000 grant donated directly to their charity of choice.  All winners receive pro bono services, media recognition, and the chance to make their voices heard at the annual star-studded BRICK Awards Ceremony in Times Square, NYC. Four of the 12 BRICK Award winners will win an additionally $15,000 grant to support their work.

CNN dubbed the BRICK Awards “the Oscars of youth service awards” in 1998. Celebs who’ve been involved in the BRICK Awards include: President Clinton, Susan Sarandon, Jimmy Fallon, Mary J. Blige, Rocco DiSpirito, Ashanti, Ja Rule, Jewel and NY Giants star Michael Strahan.
