Our Board of Directors sets the vision and direction of the organization. Made up of community leaders from various business disciplines, the board of directors provides governance for AMF and enables the organization to effectively and successfully achieve its purpose.
Our Board of Advisors provides advice and counsel to the National Students of AMF Board of Directors and Leadership team, particularly regarding community relations and fundraising.
Our esteemed Board of Mental Health Professionals consists of many experts in the fields of college student bereavement and mental health. The board works to ensure our chapters and national programs provide the best possible peer support for grieving students.
Our Leadership Team, composed of staff, volunteers, and interns manage AMF’s day-to-day operations and carry out the organization’s strategic plan as determined by our Boards. We couldn’t do what we do without the dedication of our many volunteers. These selfless individuals extend our reach and provide the extra brains and brawn we need to do much more than we could without them.
If you are interested in becoming part of our team in any of the above capacities, visit the Volunteer section of our website to learn more.
As I prepare to finish my last semester at UNC, I’ve been thinking about just how different my time at UNC would have been if I hadn’t had the unwavering support of AMF. I honestly cannot express how grateful I am to all of you; I will definitely continue to be involved with AMF long past graduation!
